Savor, Sip & Socialize: Where Gourmet Meets Good Times

How it started
Jacob Simons and Michael Vogel, also known as Harpo, became good friends in 2017. They shared a passion for golfing, fast cars, and, of course, their love for Las Vegas. In 2019, Michael moved to Phoenix to care for his mother and spend more time with his family. After 33 years in the bar and restaurant business, working at establishments like McMurphy's, Aquarius, and both original Dooley's and Dooley's Pub downtown, he felt it was time for a break. Meanwhile, Jacob continued his career in the insurance field and ventured into commercial real estate investing.
Fast forward to 2024: a trip to Las Vegas would forever change the course of their friendship. On Friday, March 22, 2024, Michael faced the painful reality of spending his mother’s birthday without her for the first time since her passing in January. Unbeknownst to him, that date held special significance for Jacob as well, as his mother had also passed away on March 22, several years earlier.

Memorable Experiences
To honor their mothers, the friends decided to place a bet on "Black 22" at the roulette table. The unexpected happened: on the very first spin, the wheel landed on "Black 22." In that moment, they felt incredibly fortunate and knew they had formed a lifelong bond. They believed their mothers had a hand in their unexpected win, as there seemed to be no other explanation for the coincidence.
By September, Jacob and Michael decided to open their own sports bar, aptly named "Lucky's Bar and Grill," with a Vegas-themed atmosphere. We hope you enjoy our story and create your own memorable experiences at our establishment.
